Movenpick Hotels & Resorts has announced the opening of a new hotel by referring to its exciting business locale as "New Dubai".
Confirming the launch of the Ibn Battuta Gate Hotel, Movenpick described New Dubai as "the area that heads south along the emirate's west coast, embracing the specialist zones of Dubai's Media City, Internet City, Knowledge Village (TECOM), Jebel Ali Free Zone (JAFZ) and more".
The firm observed that the TECOM zones house more than 80,000 companies while JAFZ's occupancy is put at around 5,000 firms, mostly in the industrial and manufacturing segment.
According to Movenpick, the Ibn Battuta Gate Hotel will thrive in such an environment, catering to "today's mobile business traveller" as well as the growing number of tourists visiting the emirate.
The property is one of four hotels that the company is planning to open in Dubai over the next ten months.
This week, the latest Jobs Index by Bayt.com and YouGov Siraj also revealed that more than half of the UAE's employers are planning to recruit more staff over the next few months.
