Dubai Outlet Mall's participation at the Arabian Travel Market (ATM), which is currently taking place in the emirate, is proof of its commitment to regional tourism development, its business leader has said.
Mall director Vishal Mahajan, described ATM as a great opportunity to meet key tourism industry professionals and decision makers "in our efforts to promote Dubai Outlet Mall as the quintessential value shopping destination in the Middle East region".
"The mall's footfall comprises a significant percentage of international visitors, apart from the solid numbers of domestic consumers, and we are looking for growth in numbers after our participation in the ATM 2010," he added.
According to Mr Mahajan, the Outlet Mall's huge discounts on high-end premium brands have been a key contributor to Dubai's growing reputation as "a shopper's paradise".
The mall has a space at the Dubailand stand at ATM 2010, which is taking place at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre until May 7th.
Meanwhile, Mohammed Al Habbai, chief executive officer of Dubailand, said this week that Dubai's tourism destinations have experienced a significant surge in cruise visitors thanks to a new partnership with Royal Caribbean International.
