Dubai Municipality has signed a deal with communications provider Etisalat for the provision of wireless internet connections in Zabeel Park.
Beginning today (May 12th), visitors to the park will be able to enjoy uninterrupted connectivity through Wi-Fi enabled devices like laptops, smartphones, netbooks, and portable gaming consoles.
Etisalat Al Shamil and eLife customers will be able to access free Wi-Fi for up to 16 hours per month, depending on their subscription packages, while other park visitors can pay a nominal cost for the service starting at AED 5 for the first 30 minutes.
Hussain Nasser Lootah, director-general of Dubai Municipality, said: "Offering state-of-art technology and facilities has always been our priority at Dubai Municipality in our endeavour to provide better services to the residents of Dubai.
"Our partnership with Etisalat for this latest initiative will provide excellent connectivity services to the public and is part of our overall plan to ensure access anytime, anywhere."
