Dubai officials have predicted that more than 6,000 retailers will participate in the over 100 day-long Summer Deals 2010 initiative.
The Dubai Events and Promotions Establishment (DEPE) said the event will be part of Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) and will run from June 1st to September 15th..
DSS attracted around 2.2 million visitors in 2009, resulting in a consumer spending of Dh3.37 billion, DEPE said, noting that around half of the visitors agreed that shopping was the main attraction during the period.
