Billionaire Italian Couture, a high-end fashion brand exclusively for men, has opened its first boutique at Dubai Mall.
Media and sports tycoon Flavio Briatore, who founded the brand, and Mohi-din BinHendi, president of Billionaire Italian Couture's UAE business partner, BinHendi Enterprises, were both present at the in-store launch.
With its luxury designs for men "who fancy an eccentric yet classic style in fashion", Billionaire Italian Couture has been tailoring clothing to the needs of the privileged elite since its establishment in 2005.
The new store aims to bring such collections into an everyday retail environment, offering original eveningwear ensembles, personalised bathing robes, monogrammed socks or even slippers embroidered with personal astrological signs.
Mr BinHendi said: "Billionaire Italian Couture already has a dedicated following among clientele who favour tailored elegance with a touch of whimsy, with celebrities such as David Beckham and Paul McCartney among its fans.
"Billionaire Italian Couture is sure to be another successful ambassador of BinHendi's exclusive fashion division."
Last week, the GCC Retail Industry Report 2010 by Alpen Capital noted that the expanding retail industry in the region has been buoyed by factors such as healthy population growth, rising per capita income, a growing middle-class and a burgeoning travel and tourism sector.
