Dubai's job market grew by more than 20 per cent in the first three months of the year compared to the same period last year, new research has found.
Pathway Resourcing, a leading recruitment firm in the UAE, recorded 21 per cent more job vacancies in the first quarter of 2010, Emirates Business 24/7 reported.
Hasnain Qazi, Middle East business manager for the firm, suggested the rise was a reflection of the steady growth of Dubai's economy, noting that more vacancies had been seen across a wide spectrum of economic sectors.
"It also reflects the long-term faith and confidence that Middle East and North Africa-based multinational companies and recruitment agencies have in Dubai remaining the major trade hub among Gulf Co-operation Council (GCC) states," added Mr Qazi.
This week, a report by the Gulf Organization for Industrial Consultancy observed that GCC nations experienced combined economic growth of 5.5 per cent last year, the Peninsula reported.
