The property development firm Tamouh has said it will begin the handover of apartment units in Marina Square, Abu Dhabi from May 2010.
According to Tamouh, the handovers amount to 3,440 new residential units for Abu Dhabi.
The company said finishing touches are being applied to the first phase of Marina Square, which comprises 14 towers. Construction activity is also rapidly progressing on a five-star hotel and on Paragon Bay mall, which will be delivered as part of the second phase. Paragon Malls is the shopping centre division of Tamouh.
Marina Square is spread across an area of 66 acres and is set to house more than 8,500 people on completion.
It is hoped the development will bring Abu Dhabi an exciting marina lifestyle, complete with gourmet restaurants, luxury retail outlets, a boutique mall and five-star hotel.
Joe Ong, managing director of Tamouh, said: "Our endeavour is to deliver a quality living environment to the residents of Marina Square. The focus is on the completion of vital amenities within the development even before residents take possession of their properties."
Tamouh's developments are located on Reem Island next to the new Central Business District of Abu Dhabi city.
