Dubai Properties Group (DPG) has signed three new retailers and service providers to its Layan Community project in Dubailand, the company has announced.
Facilities will include a supermarket, 3,400 sq ft laundry and a new spa, offering Middle Eastern beauty and wellness treatments for women. This is due to open in March 2011.
"We welcome the new retailers to our Layan development and look forward to including more service providers at the community," said Khalid Al Malik, group chief executive of DPG.
"The addition of community-related facilities complements the self-contained environment that Layan offers. Layan represents our commitment to delivering an enhanced lifestyle across all our residential communities."
Existing facilities include a swimming pool, nursery and kindergarten, while a coffee shop, restaurant and fully-equipped fitness centre are set to open in the coming months.
In an effort to boost the emirate's role in the hospitality sector, Dubai's Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing has entered into an agreement with dmg events in Dubai.
