The Dubai Convention Bureau (DCB), a division of the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), has sought to explore new opportunities for the emirate's tourism sector during a recent conference.
In a statement, the DCB confirmed its recent participation in the 35th conference of the Society of Incentive Travel Executives (SITE) in Cape Town, South Africa.
The bureau noted that a number of important seminars and workshops had been held on the sidelines of the conference, with FW de Klerk, the former president of South Africa, among the keynote speakers.
"Among the main topics discussed during the seminars were 'Using Media to Improve Your Brand', 'Creating, Developing and Managing the Professional Status', and 'Best Practices for Sustainable Tourism'," said the DCB.
The bureau is a member of SITE, an association with a membership of 2,100 professionals and specialists in the meetings and conferences sector from 87 countries.
