This year Cityscape, a congress of real estate industry leaders, will be held in Dubai for the ninth consecutive year but under a new name - Cityscape Global.
Rohan Marwaha, managing director of Cityscape, said that the rebranding reflected the event's evolution into the most significant real estate platform in the world, the Khaleej Times reported.
Cityscape Global will be held at the Dubai World Trade Centre in October and is expected to attract a wealth of international developers, architects and professionals.
"In 2009 over 25 per cent of registered participants came from outside of the UAE, which translates into almost 10,000 participants flying in from 115 different countries," said Mr Marwaha.
He added that this year's event will feature six conferences as well as a number of new business initiatives including Cityscape Connect, CEO Breakfasts and City Leaders Forum.
The announcement follows the release of the new Sales Price Index for Dubai, which has been launched by the market analyst REIDIN.com in partnership with the Dubai government. The index revealed last week that Dubai property prices rose 0.7 per cent in the final quarter of 2009.
