Mahindra Satyam, the new brand identity of Satyam Computer Services, a leading global consulting and IT services provider, has announced that its Dubai office will now function as its new strategic regional hub.
The company stated that the office will oversee the integration of both its Middle East and African operations as part of its plan to target more projects and growth opportunities in "the two region's booming IT and business segments".
Mahindra Satyam also claimed to have received a strong response to its new initiatives as it looks to gain a stronger foothold in business intelligence, cloud computing, integrated engineering services for industries such as aviation, oil and gas, and for specialised sectors like IT for sport events.
The company has been the sole supplier for the IT system of the FIFA World Cup and stated that it is looking for more sport-related business in the Middle East.
"We already have 12 offices in the Middle East and Africa region. Establishing our Dubai office as our new strategic regional hub is just one of the many planned moves that Mahindra Satyam is implementing to reinforce our presence in these two regions," commented Manojeet Chowdhury, company vice president and head of the Middle East and Africa region.
