RAK Airways, the national carrier of Ras Al Khaimah, has added a fifth destination to its growing route network with a new service to Cairo, Egypt.
Effective from December 15th 2010, the airline will offer three flights a week to Cairo on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday, with return flights from the Egyptian capital also offered on the same days.
Commenting on the service launch, RAK Airways chairman Sheikh Omar Bin Saqr Al Qassimi said the airline had delivered on its mandate of adding three additional routes for passengers within two months of re-starting operations.
RAK Airways relaunched scheduled services in October following a two-year hiatus brought on by the global downturn.
"With new destinations to Cairo, Dhaka and Chittagong set for take-off on December 15th, RAK Airways will be able to further enhance our high-value offering," Sheikh Omar added.
"With our competitive fares, load factors on our inaguaural routes have been extremely positive and we are optimistic that we will be able to replicate this success with our Egypt and Bangladesh routes."
