An upcoming event demonstrates the success investments in public transport have had in Dubai.
The Road and Transport Authority (RTA) has seen success in its bids to host the UITP World Congress, as well as the Mobility and City Transport Exhibition.
According to Congress Solutions International (CSI), which has been selected by the body to organise the events, this reflects the recent development of the emirate's public transport system.
The news could be of interest to those assessing transport options when making a Dubai property investment.
Among the improvements made to the infrastructure of the emirate is the region's first pilotless Metro.
Frederic Bardin, senior vice-president of CSI, commented: "This is an important event for the international public transport industry and acknowledges the great work that the RTA has done in positioning Dubai as a regional leader in this field."
Over 60,000 passengers used the Metro on Friday, September 18th, which falls in line with predictions that it would be heavily used during the Eid celebrations.
