Transport is an important factor when moving to an area, so those looking to buy property in Dubai may be interested in the latest figures from the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA).
Some 266,000 commuters took to the newly-opened Metro system in the emirate during the Eid holidays, which lasted from September 20th to 22nd.
On the third day alone, 71,266 people used this mode of transport to get around, using its ten red line stations.
Furthermore, the RTA announced that since its inception, the Metro has taken 797,768 people to their destinations, which included the Mall of the Emirates, Nakheel Harbour and Tower and Union Square.
Dr Aysha Al Busmait, director of the RTA's customer service centres, said: "A successful metro is a true success for Dubai and is sincerely reflecting a fully operational transit.
"It bears witness to the urban boom Dubai is experiencing on all fronts."
Earlier this week, it was reported that over 97,000 travelled by the Metro on Monday (September 21st).
