A commercial property in Dubai has been cause for one industry professional to receive praise.
The GHD Material Technology group has been recognised for the part it played in the construction of the world's tallest building in Dubai.
An award has been given to the company by the Concrete Institute of Australia, who presented it with the Award for Excellence, for the pumping of concrete at a very high level.
The company acted as independent verifiers for the developer of the Burj Dubai, EMAAR Properties, led by Dr James Aldred, who is a concrete specialist.
Dr Aldred commented on the project, saying: "The pumping of high quality concrete on the Burj Dubai to 600 metres was an exceptional achievement in concrete technology - and one of which our team is very proud."
He added that GHD is developing a reputation for solving technical challenges such as this project.
The group provides independent and cost-effective advice to a broad range of clients.
Currently at 800 metres, the finished height that the Burj Dubai will reach has not yet been revealed.
