Travelling around the emirate on the Dubai Metro, which was opened on September 9th 2009, was also highlighted by the Daily Mail as a major advantage to living in the region.
For those who want to enjoy more shopping than the Atlantis mall offers, there are a wealth of opportunities in the area, including the Mall of the Emirates, which opened four years ago.

History buffs will also find there is plenty to occupy them, as the emirate has a number of ancient sites to visit and artefacts to look at, many of which could be found at the Dubai Museum.
