Gulf Air implements new safety system

Written by Neil King

Travellers who are flying to the UAE so they can stay in their property investment in Dubai might appreciate a new safety system.

After signing a three-year deal with Austin Digital, Gulf Air has now integrated and brought into use a flight data monitoring (FDM) system, known as flight operation quality assurance.

Captain Chris Cain is chief operating officer at the airline and noted safety is of the utmost importance for any aviation company.

He said it is achieved by a number of factors, including training crew, maintaining vehicles and having efficient reporting systems in place.

"The new integrated FDM system offers a robust and sophisticated functionality to analyse and optimise our daily flight operations helping us increase our fleet's technical dispatch reliability," stated Captain Cain.

Gulf Air offers services from Dubai International Airport to Bangkok, Cairo, Delhi, Edinburgh and Los Angeles.

Travellers who have booked a flight with the airline can log onto its website and visit the My Booking section in order to check their itinerary.ADNFCR-2019-ID-19312134-ADNFCR
