Travellers landing in Dubai International Airport in order to look for property in UAE may notice a new police officer in the Freezone.

It has opened on the ground floor of building 6W to enhance security at the facility – and will deal with issues regarding traffic and cargo.

Dr Mohammed Al Zarouni was among those who attended the opening ceremony and explained safety measures are crucial for any successful business operation.

Speaking at the event, he said: "It is essential to create secured ambience for the clients to operate peacefully.

"I would like to take this opportunity to thank Dubai Police who spared no effort to help setting a security office in our vicinity."

Executive director of corporate support at Dubai International Airport Freezone Mohammed Alhashimi added the overall aim of the new facility is to reduce the number of incidents.
