Designer hotels are set to be opened this year in Dubai.

The emirate will see the Palazzo Hotel and Armani Hotel bringing in more tourists to stay in the luxury accommodation, which may be good news for those with Dubai property investments.

Armani's new hotel offering will be located in the Burj Dubai development, complete with 160 "sophisticated" rooms, a diverse menu, boutiques, a nightclub and a spa, reports.

Meanwhile, the Palazzo Versace Hotel will feature the brand's own furnishings in Arabian architecture, located in the Culture Village on Dubai Creek.

Commenting on the developments, Ian Scott, director of UK and Ireland for Dubai Tourism, said: " Dubai is set to become the ultimate destination to experience fantastic designer hotels unlike no other in the world.

"These designer brands really highlight how Dubai is earning its reputation as home to international design excellence."

Golfers looking to buy property in Dubai may be pleased to hear that Tiger Woods has designed a golf course on the emirate, which will also receive a new hotel.

Al Ruwaya is a 7,800-yard, par 72 and 18-hole championship course.
