Philips has taken on commercial property in Dubai Silicon Oasis and is establishing a regional headquarters in the technology hub.
The new facilities will house the commercial department of the company's International Cluster division, bringing yet another high-profile tenant to the commercial property development.
"Philips has been a major driver of technological change in several markets and has impacted the lives of communities all over the world. We are delighted to welcome Philips," said Dr Mohammed Al Zarouni, chief executive of Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority.
He added that the full extent of service and support will be extended to the company to ensure that it can continue to enjoy marked commercial success, as have other big name tenants at the development.
Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority has recently been touting the dynamism and diversity of the emirate's commercial environment to business leaders in Japan.
The delegation was headed by Al Zarouni, who described the emirate as a gateway to the Middle East and North Africa.
