In a further demonstration of its support for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Dubai, the Mohammed Bin Rashid Establishment for Young Business Leaders (MBRE) has hosted a roundtable discussion to promote best practice in the contracting sector.
One of a series of sector development programmes developed by the organisation, the latest roundtable discussion briefed local SMEs on the regulatory regime governing the contracting services sector, as well as setting out strategies for success in the emirate.
Ibtihal Naji, manager of the government procurement programme at the MBRE, commented: "We believe hosting these roundtables on a regular basis will enable our members to overcome challenges and increase their ability to fulfill requirements of governmental institutions."
The MBRE has also this month held its six-month strategic review, identifying notable successes and outlining action areas for the remainder of the year.
Its roadmap for long-term development was set out earlier this year in its Yes to Growth strategic plan, which will be the organisation's guiding policy document through to 2015.
