Emirates Airline has announced a landmark agreement with Virgin Blue that will broaden travel options between Dubai and Australia.
The two companies have collaborated to launch the Emirates Visit Australia Pass, offering connections to 22 Australian destinations served by Virgin Blue.
Emirates passengers travelling to any of the four cities served by the airline - Melbourne, Perth, Sydney and Perth - will now be able to catch an onward Virgin Blue flight a host of holiday hotspots including Adelaide, Byron Bay, Sunshine Coast, Darwin and the capital Canberra.
"Due to the sheer size of Australia, many visitors prefer to fly as against drive within the country. With the Emirates Visit Australia Pass our passengers will benefit from an increased reach," said Richard Vaughan, Emirates' divisional senior vice-president for commercial operations worldwide.
Emirates has also this week announced a new deal with to provide discounted accommodation in some of the most coveted hotel properties in Dubai during Ramadan.
