Dubai Media Incorporated (DMI) has teamed up with the American University of the Emirates (AUE) to help develop a strong media skills development programme for students at the institution.
As part of a broader drive to increase its support of human resources development in the emirate, DMI will provide training and consultancy services for the university students, while also offering concessionary media training sessions for AUE staff.
"The memorandum of understanding is in line with DMI's endeavour to partner with prominent universities and leading international academic institutions and expose aspiring young professionals to state-of-the-art equipment and techniques," said Ahmed Abdulla Al Sheikh, board member and managing director of DMI.
He added that the new agreement will also allow students to familiarise themselves with the very latest media applications and technology.
DMI last month scooped nine awards at the Promax Arabia Awards 2009, celebrating the company's expertise in fields such as audio and video editing and promotional campaign innovation.
