The Share Best Practice 2009 conference and exhibition has this year attracted more than 450 leading business professionals in its promotion of commercial excellence.
Organised by Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, chairman of Dubai Airports, president of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and chairman and chief executive of Emirates Group, the event played host to award-winning business leaders who shared their vision for best practice.
Among the speakers were the winners of the 2008 Dubai Quality Award, Dubai Human Development Award and Dubai Service Excellence Scheme.
Khalid Al Kassim, deputy director general for planning and development at the Department of Economic Development (DED), said that the event furthers the government's strategy to improve quality and excellence across all sectors of the economy.
"Dubai's economic fundamentals encourage companies and corporations to compete among themselves to adopt best practices and deliver quality services and products to further gain investor trust," he said.
The DED has also this month praised the assessors of the Dubai Quality Awards for their dedication to upholding commercial standards in the emirate.
