Every seat on FlyDubai's inaugural flight to Beirut was booked up before the plane left Dubai International yesterday (June 1st), the company's chief executive has confirmed.
Speaking to Emirates Business, Ghaith Al Ghaith said that the flight achieved a 100 per cent load factor and added that a similar success is expected on the inaugural flight to Amman, which leaves Dubai today.
Mr Al Ghaith went on to praise His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, vice-president and prime minister of the UAE and ruler of Dubai, who was said to have been instrumental in launching FlyDubai into the air.
He said that that Sheikh Mohammed's support has ensured that "residents and visitors alike will be able to travel to more places more often".
The new flight services may be of interest to those who are considering buying property for sale in Dubai.
Sheikh Mohammed has this week extolled the rapid development of Dubai and iterated his commitment to meeting long-term policy goals by 2015.
