The Dubai government is committed to ensuring excellence and best practice across every public department, claims Abdullah Al Shaibani, secretary general of Dubai Executive Council and chairman of the Dubai Government Excellence Programme (DGEP).
Speaking at the annual meeting of the DGEP, Mr Al Shaibani said that the group is continually updating and expanding its methodology and assessment criteria in line with international standards for best practice and is scrutinising each department to ensure its aims are met.
Emirates Business reports that the DGEP's co-ordinator general Ahmed Al Nusairat said that many lessons had been learned since the organisation was established.
The UAE's strong auditing of its public institutions may be an encouraging factor for those considering investing in commercial property in Dubai.
Last month, the Dubai Courts hosted a special ceremony in celebration of its numerous employees who had won accolades at this year's DGEP Awards.
Winners included Abdullah Al Kaabi, who won the Creative Employee award for his innovative contributions to the department's digital infrastructure.
