Dubai has come out on top of a new poll asking business leaders to name the most innovative member of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
In the new study, conducted by YouGov, 65 per cent of the 2,000 business leaders questioned named Dubai as the leading country for commercial innovation.
Such qualities may make buying commercial property in Dubai an attractive option for businesses looking to establish a foothold in the Middle East.
"There are a great many innovative business and government concepts in action in other cities within the GCC, but Dubai still holds the reputation as the leader," said Joanna Longworth, chief marketing officer of YouGov.
Other key findings from the study included the common belief that Japan holds the mantle as the world's most innovative country, with a third of all respondents believing it to be so.
The survey was commissioned by Mangrove Consulting, a London-based business innovation specialist.
