Those with property in Dubai have been advised that an understanding of colour therapy can help to transform the emotions a home inspires.
Speaking to Emirates Business, Rima Dardenne, owner of Dubai interiors store Irony Home, explains that while redecorating can be a daunting prospect, using mainly neutral tones with splashes of colour to "dress" each room, homeowners can create a balanced and harmonic colour scheme.
"I don't go with trends because keeping a neutral base is timeless. That's why I love highlighting them with accent colours - they never date," she adds.
However, she urges people to think carefully about the mood that each individual colour will create.
Ms Dardenne explains that red can have an overpowering effect if it used too readily and the expert advises that it should only be used as an accent colour.
SpaDunya recently launched the Altearah colour range to promote emotional tranquillity in the home. The product may well be of interest to those who have brought property for sale in Dubai.
