The Middle East is seeing a positive rise in the number of tourists visiting the region, it has been revealed.
This may be good news for anyone considering buying an apartment for sale in Dubai with the intention of renting it out to holidaymakers.
Figures from the Middle East Hotel Performance Review, released by Deloitte, show that while global tourism is down by two per cent, it has increased by the same margin in the Middle East.
Robert O'Hanlon from Deloitte explained that this growth in cities such as Dubai reflects "the government's willingness to support the travel industry and the increasing appetite of Saudis themselves to travel within their country".
He added that despite the downturn, if a location is good people will still want to visit.
Set to appeal to the top end of the travel market, a chain of luxury Pullman hotels are to be opened in Dubai before the second half of 2010, it was recently announced.
