The first round of inspections of private schools by the Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC) is almost complete, it has been reported.
Private school inspections are part of an initiative to improve educational standards, which may encourage families looking to buy property in Dubai that their children could receive a first-class education.
An effective and quality education is important and should be provided to children, the ADEC director-general Dr Mugheer Al Khaili told the Khaleej Times.
He said: "All students are important to us. That's why we want our students to have a positive school experience in Abu Dhabi."
The inspections come after the Dubai School Inspection Bureau announced the results of its evaluation of schools in Dubai, the first of its kind in the United Arab Emirates.
Meanwhile, Badr Mahmoud, director of the Emirates Transport Foundation, recently told the newspaper that a new scheme to improve school bus safety will be implemented in Dubai later in the year.
