Nakheel Leisure has entered into a new partnership with Polo Ralph Lauren, with the acclaimed design house becoming the official outfitter of the Dubai World Championship golf tournament.
The new apparel, which will be worn by officials, marshals and the players themselves, will also be sold internationally, bringing the tournament to the attention of golf enthusiasts the world over.
David Lauren, senior vice-president of advertising, marketing and corporate communications for Polo Ralph Lauren, commented: "This new partnership is very much in line with our support of high-profile sporting events and builds on our existing relationships with leading European Tour golfers Luke Donald and Gonzalo Fernandez-Castano."
The Dubai World Championship is the final event of the Race to Dubai competition, which consists of 49 tournaments at 26 of the world's top golf courses.
Earlier this month, Nakheel subdivision Leisurecorp and golfing legend Greg Norman announced that tickets for the event will be free, ensuring that those eager to see the tournament can do so - providing they book early.
