A high-profile delegation of the Ras Al Khaimah Free Trade Zone (RAK FTZ) has visited the Czech Republic to promote business between the two countries.
Led by RAK FTZ chairman His Highness Sheikh Faisal bin Saqr Al Qasimi, the delegation met with prominent businessmen and public sector trade officials to discuss opportunities for growth and cooperation.
Sheikh Faisal said that Ras Al Khaimah can learn a lot from the Czech Republic's trade rules.
"We have gained much knowledge on how they run their industrial estates and tourism sector - we can employ the same strategies within the historical locations of Ras Al Khaimah," he said.
He added that while doing so would help to promote tourism to the northern emirate, it would also ensure that its remakable heritage is preserved.
This in turn may attract a growing number of Emiratis and expatriates looking to invest in property in Ras Al Khaimah.
The Emirati authorities have recently handed over 38 properties in Ras Al Khaimah to Emiratis as part of its commitment to social housing projects.
