Mohammed praises UAE private sector

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, vice-president and prime minister of the UAE and ruler of Dubai, extolled the ambition and expertise of the emirates' private sector at an eponymous awards ceremony on Tuesday (April 7th).

The Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Business Awards were held at the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry yesterday and celebrated the groundbreaking work of around 18 companies with a strong foothold in the region.

Congratulating the winners, Sheikh Mohammed urged them to continue to innovate and drive creativity and growth in the UAE's private sector and further their commitment to the development ambitions of the public authorities.

"The winners would be an example for others to follow as the participating firms will get accurate evaluation and feedback report on their performance and can come back for the award's next session with renewed zeal," added Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori, chairman of the board of judges.

Among those to be lauded with an award was FedEx Express, which won out in the corporate social responsibility and logistics categories.ADNFCR-2019-ID-19115074-ADNFCR
