Al Ghurair University and Barclays have signed a memorandum of understanding that will help to promote jobs and education opportunities for Emiratis looking to enter the financial sector.
Students at the event will be given the opportunity to embark on internships with the bank and will have access to new scholarships and funding that will help them to reduce the costs of study.
"We believe that our cooperation with one of the world's most prestigious financial institutions will enable Al Ghurair University to fulfill its mandate as a provider of quality higher education in Dubai," said Dr Abdurahem Mohammed Al Ameen, president of the university.
Such developments may well be of interest to families who are investing in property for sale in Dubai.
Al Ghurair has this week been impressing crowds at the Gulf Education & Training Exhibition in Dubai, with the institute once more opting for a 90 sq m stand.
