The Abu Dhabi Urban Planning Council (UPC) is set to unveil its new street design and mobility standards manual in furtherance of Plan Abu Dhabi 2030.
The organisation will be calling for safer, more comfortable streets with a heightened aesthetic quality when it publishes the new manual, with group general manager Falah Mohammed Al Ahbabi saying that the new vision will help to ensure infrastructural strength during periods of rapid economic growth.
'Our new urban street design manual aspires to establish Abu Dhabi as a groundbreaking global mobility model underpinned by diversity in movement options, flexibility in destination access, efficiency in time saving and enhancement of livability," he said.
In other UAE property news, the UPC has also recently unveiled its Plan Abu Dhabi 2030 development proposals for Al Ain, with the aim of establishing the area as environmentally, socially and economically responsible metropolis.
Plan Al Ain 2030 has been developed with the intention of preserving the city's agricultural roots, the UPC insisted upon its launch.
