'Think green' for interiors

Those looking to buy property in Dubai should consider sustainability when furnishing their new home, it has been claimed.

A number of figures from within the interior design industry claim that there are a range of benefits in creating a sustainable interior for a property in Dubai.

Ilke Toklu, the managing director of an interior store in the emirate, told Business 24/7 that sustainability is a "great source of inspiration".

Others in the industry say being green when decorating a new property in Dubai helps to bring other benefits, such as improved living conditions and general welfare for homeowners.

Simple steps that people in the emirate, and elsewhere, can take include using efficient lighting, or water-saving shower heads, the news provider adds.

Property development in Dubai is not the only thing becoming more sustainable. Earlier this week the emirate's Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing confirmed that the tourism trade is also making improvements in this area, TravelMole reports.

There’s never been a better time to invest in Dubai, say industry heavyweights heading to this month’s Cityscape Global Conference. Invest in your Future - Click here to learn more.
