The Ras Al Khaimah Free Trade Zone (RAK FTZ) is promoting a new initiative that will promote safety in the emirate, with a particular focus on fire prevention.
Working with the RAK Civil Defence Authority, the FTZ is promoting the tenets of Civil Defence Day, which was held on March 1st.
The group has organised a mini exhibition at the RAK FTZ Technology Park which showcases the latest in fire safety equipment and promotes best practice among members of the organisation.
A series of lectures were also held earlier this month which featured discussions on dangerous machines, the importance of first aid and the different kinds of fire safety equipment available.
"With RAK FTZ's reputation of offering state-of-the-art facilities, cutting-edge technology and friendly service, it is apt that they are also the first government arm to offer this safety campaign," the group commented.
The emirate's commitment to health and safety may be an important consideration for those considering buying property in Ras Al Khaimah.
It is also enjoying considerable commercial prosperity, with the RAK FTZ recording an average annual growth of 50 per cent each year since its creation in 2000.
