The Emirates Group has launched the new Marhaba lounge in Terminal 3 of Dubai International to accommodate the ever-growing number of people passing through the airport.
Gulf News reports that the new lounge will be open to all passengers using the airport as it will be linked with other terminals and concourses.
Esmail Ali Al Banna, executive vice-president of airline Dnata, said that the company has witnessed a burgeoning demand for luxury services in the hospitality sector.
To service this requirement, Emirates' new lounge will offer a business centre, check-in and immigration assistance and buggy services, in addition to the food and beverage services expected from travel lounges.
Speaking to Gulf News, Jon Conway, divisional senior vice-president of airport operations, added that there are plans to open up a new lounge in Terminal 2, although he would not be drawn on a completion date.
Emirates Airlines has also recently announced plans to increase the frequency and reach of its flight services throughout 2009 as part of its continual growth strategy.
