A delegation from the Republic of China's Department of Marine Management (DMM) has been treated to an overview of the operations and accomplishments of the Dubai Maritime City Authority (DMCA).
The Emirati authority received director general of the DMM Yu Qing Song and gave him a guided tour of the city, outlining the various strategies that have been employed to ensure its success.
Representatives of the two groups also discussed opportunities for mutually beneficial business partnerships to capitalise on their position in their respective regional markets.
The DMCA has also recently hosted a high-profile delegation of representatives from the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore.
Group chief executive Tay Lim Heng and his envoys met with the authority earlier this month to discuss opportunities to expand maritime trade links between the two countries.
A joint consensus was reached that both authorities should look to establish a centre of maritime trade that would become a hub of economic activity in the region.
