The Cartier International Polo Challenge is coming to Dubai for the fourth consecutive year, organisers d'events have confirmed.
The exclusive invitation-only event will attract the most prominent members of Dubai society to the Desert Palm Resort & Spa later this month, where they will be dazzled as teams from across the world mount up to vie for the opportunity to be crowned 2009 tournament winners.
Among the ranks in previous years have been global superstars including Monica Belucci, Olivier Martinez, Charlotte Rampling and Christian Laboutin, all of whom were welcomed under the patronage of Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein, wife of Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, vice-president and prime minister of the UAE and ruler of Dubai.
Lucy d'Abo, managing director of d'events, said that the event will provide a one-of-a-kind marketing opportunity for Cartier and sponsor guests.
"We believe that events enable a company to deliver to their target audience various tangible brand communication and direct sales opportunities that advertising or promotions cannot provide," she explained.
The event is backed by the prestigious Guards Polo Club.
