Visitor levels reach new highs
The number of people visiting the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) reached a new high during 2008.

In total, some 1.1 million people visited the venues - a ten per cent increase over the total number of visitors recorded in 2007.

Helal Saeed al Marri, the chief executive officer of the DWTC, said: "We have shown consistent and aligned growth across all our business lines, reinforcing DWTC's position as the leading convention and exhibition venue in the region - and underlining Dubai's capabilities as a world-class destination for business networking."

He added that the DWTC is aiming to make Dubai the global hub for conferences and exhibitions in the long term.

The 1.1 million visitors to the DWTC were split across two venues, the Airport Expo Dubai and the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Shows organised by the DWTC also attracted new levels of visitors, with shows in different industrial sectors being launched throughout the year.ADNFCR-2019-ID-19006118-ADNFCR
