The UAE will next week play host to a gathering of architects, planners, developers and construction companies from around the world to discuss the future of green property design.

Meeting in Abu Dhabi at the World Future Energy Summit from January 19th to 21st, global property professionals will come together to discuss a range of issues pertinent to the green buildings trade, including how to meet the latest regulations governing sustainable design in Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

Such news may well be of interest to those who are visiting the capital looking for property in the UAE.

Commenting on the future of green design, technical director of One Planet Living Communities Pooran Desai, who will speak at the event, said: "We need to think about taking a holistic approach to energy efficiency, building management systems and renewable energy."

In a separate interview with the summit organisers, he has noted a dramatic rise in the interest in green buildings in the last three years.

Among the other major players in attendance will be Tony Blair, who will be giving the closing speech.ADNFCR-2019-ID-18975585-ADNFCR
