The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has today (February 6th) launched a new luxury coach service between Dubai and Abu Dhabi to promote travel between the two emirates.
Those who own property in Dubai may wish to use the new service to see some of the capital's renowned tourist attractions such as the White Fort or the Central Public Gardens.
"We anticipate that this service will be well received by passengers commuting between Dubai and Abu Dhabi as it reflects one of the core values of the RTA," said Essa Abdul-Rahman Al Dossari, chief executive of the RTA's Public Transport Agency.
He explained that the new coaches feature the very latest technology and meet exacting deluxe standards.
The interior of the buses are modelled on the kind of layout one would expect from business class sections of airplanes, he added.
In other developments, the RTA announced this week that it has licensed 1,181 car rental offices in Dubai, servicing some 600,000 clients.
