GCA will focus on local talent

The head coaches at the Global Cricket Academy (GCA) will place great importance on nurturing local talent within the UAE.

Following their appointment earlier this month, coaching legends Dayle Hadlee and Mudassar Nazar have reassured local players that they will not be forgotten as the centre, which is located at Dubai Sports City, attracts global cricket's top flight when it opens in the near future.

Speaking to Emirates Business, Mr Hadlee said that grassroots coaching would be a cornerstone of their strategy.

"We are not here to come and take over, we want to support and enhance what is already here," he said.

Furthering this, Mr Hadlee and his team are in the process of developing an internationally recognised level one coaching course to help schoolteachers promote the sport among young Emiratis.

Such news may be of interest to families who are thinking of settling in the emirate and are looking for Dubai property for sale.

In addition to its unrivalled cricketing facilities, Dubai Sport City also offers premium opportunities for Dubai property investment with developments such as the Canal Residence West and the Gateway Towers.

There’s never been a better time to invest in Dubai, say industry heavyweights heading to this month’s Cityscape Global Conference. Invest in your Future - Click here to learn more.
