Galleries looking to break GCC art market
A number of major international galleries will be looking to make their way into the burgeoning art market in the Gulf Cooperation Council community.

Speaking to AMEInfo, Brian Haughton, co-organiser of Art Antiques Design Dubai, which will be held at the Madinat Arena from February 18th to 22nd, said that a number of international dealerships recognise the fair as an ideal platform to promote new art in the region.

Those who have just bought property for sale in Dubai may be interested in attending the event to give their home a unique look with the best in contemporary art work.

Commenting on the growing demand for art in the region, Hisham Samawi, managing partner at Ayyam Gallery in Dubai, said: "The Middle Eastern market is diverse with definitive niches being formed around mediums such as photography, calligraphy and painting."

The fair will be open from 16:00 to 22:00 local time every day, with a gala preview taking place on February 18th between 17:00 and 22:00 local time.ADNFCR-2019-ID-18977982-ADNFCR
