Aldar has celebrated the launch of the first Society of Property Researchers for the Middle East region, in a move which may well be of interest to those looking for property in the UAE.
Backed by the UK Society of Property Researchers, the new organisation will aim to improve property data and research methodologies throughout the region and produce high-quality research for investors and developers alike.
"This society could not have come at a better time with real estate research currently high up on the agenda given the global credit crunch and subsequent economic downturn," said Charlie Acworth, director of research at Aldar.
He called on researchers throughout the industry to offer active support to the society in order to produce the type of world-leading studies needed to propel the region's property sector.
The society will also collaborate with its UK partner in meeting its key objectives, which include fostering and maintaining high standards of ability and practice in the field of property research.
