Sami Al Qamzi, director general of the Dubai Department of Economic Development (DED), celebrated the result and commended the work done by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum in securing the city's unrivalled status.
Mr Al Qamzi was appointed to his current role in September 2008 alongside Nasser Bin Hassan Al Shaikh, who took on the role of the director-general of the Department of Finance.
