Officials from Dubai and Brazil have come together to discuss exciting new tourism opportunities.
At a meeting hosted by Dubai Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), the organisation's director general Khalid A bin Sulayem, held negotiations with Luiz Henrique da Silveira, governor of the southern state of Santa Catarina.
The Brazilian statesman headed up a delegation of top officials from the South American country, while executives from the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) were also in attendance.
In news that may be of interest to those thinking of buying property in Dubai, Mr da Silveira described the emirate as a vibrant and beautiful city and expressed a desire to expand tourism between the two countries.
Meanwhile, Jean-Claude Baumgarten, president and chief executive of the WTTC, stressed the benefits of pursuing strong private-public partnerships to nurture tourism growth.
The DTCM also recently held high-level meetings with a Chinese delegation to discuss tourism growth between the two countries.
