Depa wins Palazzo Versace contract

Interior design specialist Depa has proudly announced that it has won a new AED129 million contract to furnish the luxury suites of the Palazzo Versace.

The project, which is due to be finished in April 2010, is located in the Culture Village on the edge of Dubai Creek, providing visitors with all the prestige and luxury associated with the internationally renowned fashion house.

"Our work on Burj Al-Arab, Emirates Palace, Atlantis the Palm and other iconic hotels has positioned us well to win this prestigious contract," said Mohannad Sweid, group chief executive.

In news that may interest those who are looking for somewhere to stay while looking for Dubai property for sale next year, the Palazzo Versace will feature the world's first refrigerated beach, allowing guests to cool off on even the hottest days.

The new property in Dubai will help to consolidate the fashion house's reputation as a leading purveyor of luxury accommodation, building on the acclaim of the first Palazzo Versace, located on the prestigious Gold Coast of Australia.
