Aswaaq has announced that construction work has begun on the second community centre in Al Twar 1 in eastern Dubai, offering a new hub for residents.
The Aswaaq supermarket will form the focal point of the development and will be adjoined by more than 20 other retail outlets, providing a relaxed environment for residents to do their shopping.
The UAE property development will also boast flexible office space available on a lease basis over five floors.
Yousuf Sharaf, deputy chief executive officer of the company, commented: "Priorities are to serve each residential community in the UAE. It has been our objectives from the very beginning to provide services, products and jobs to local residents."
Such news may be of interest those who are considering Dubai property for sale in the area.
More than a third (35 per cent) of all employees at Aswaaq are locals, supporting Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum's calls for greater domestic investment and job opportunities.
